Sheargold’s New Development Manager

With the departure of Ryan Duff, Sheargold’s Development Manager, we are pleased to announce that Ledum Yorgure has joined our ranks to fill the Development Manager position. Whilst we were sad to say goodbye to Ryan, we are excited about Ledum joining the team. Ledum comes to us from Cardno, an infrastructure and environmental services consultant of Sheargold’s, and brings with him an existing wealth of knowledge about the projects he will continue to be working on, albeit from the ‘other side of the fence’.

Vista Park Give Away John Deere Mower

To celebrate the successful launch of The Ridge within Vista Park Sheargold has recently announced the winner of a brand new John Deere D110 AND Kids Pedal Powered matching Ride On Mower.

The competition saw a number of clever and humorous entries from Vista Park’s newest residents, battling it out for a chance to ride off into the sunset on a very handy new toy. However the winning entry was a clear favourite and can be seen on the Vista Park Facebook Page.

The prizes were taken home by the McGuigan family and perfectly suited the prestigious semi-rural community of The Ridge. And won’t they need it, with home sites in The Ridge starting from 2,000sqm surrounded by parklands and set against the beautiful Illawarra Escarpment. The McGuigan family won’t have too much trouble keeping their home site looking great, with offers already coming in from the neighbourhood’s new neighbours to cut their grass also!

Sheargold managing Director, Michael Sheargold, said of the recent competition “It’s great to see so many enthusiastic new residence have fun with this which ended up being a great community introduction experience. We have another one planned for The Grove so stay tuned!”

Both The Ridge and The Grove communities of Vista Park have seen a number of stage releases with new residents already submitting their stunning home designs to the Vista Park Design Review Panel and on their way to council. The Grove will see its next Release on Saturday 6th August with only 20 premium home sites on offer.

With Wollongong City Councils recent movement to upgrade many of the regions play areas and parks, Sheargold, the developer of Cordeaux Heights felt it only made sense to assist the Council in upgrading Sheargold Park in the suburb.

Sheargold Managing Director, Michael Sheargold, said “We look back with very fond memories of working on this ground breaking project and continue to reap the nostalgic benefits every time we visit this great community. We feel that preserving this strong legacy well into the future means supporting the community and allowing them to fully enjoy their surroundings.”

With well over 1,000 dwellings, 2 schools and retail facilities, Cordeaux Heights was a landmark project for both Wollongong City Council and Sheargold. And with the majority of its residence with young families, the refurbished Sheargold Park is set to get some very good use for generations to come.
