UDIA NSW Roy Sheargold Scholarship Winner Announced for 2019
In conjunction with Sheargold, each year UDIA NSW awards the Roy Sheargold scholarship to a young industry professional, enabling them to conduct research or further their education.
The winner for 2019 is Olivia Leal-Walker. Olivia is currently a Sustainability Advisor at Frasers Property and presents as a very deserving winner who espouses all of the expected qualities of a Roy Sheargold Scholarship winner.
Olivia intends to further her studies through the Masters of Sustainable Built Environment at UNSW. The judges were extremely impressed with her drive and unbridled passion for sustainable growth practices across Western Sydney. Her research will centre around keeping Western Sydney cool and for every home in the west to be connected to nature.
Sheargold are proud to support Olivia and wish her the very best in her future endeavours.
Expansion at Sheargold
With an escalating list of development projects, Sheargold are proud to announce that Nathan Holloway is our new Development Manager, concentrating principally on the building components of our subdivisions and masterplanned communities – a good fit for Nathans architectural degree and a fitting reward for three years hard work at Sheargold.
We are also pleased to announce that David Hogan has joined the company in the position of Assistant Development Manager, to assist both Ledum and Nathan in their ever increasing tasks.
David comes to us with a background in property, banking and politics, having worked for Mirvac, CBRE, Citigroup and a Federal Member of Parliament. David also holds Law and Commerce degrees from the University of Sydney
SHEARGOLD DONATES LAND TO ILLAWARRA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Sheargold have become a major sponsor of the i98FM Illawarra Convoy by donating a block of land in The Grove at Vista Park for the House that Convoy built initiative. The ICF distributes funds raised by the Convoy to families and individuals affected by life threatening illnesses in the community, along with donations to many local charitable groups.
Some of the many notable donations provided by ICF have been funds for new ultrasound equipment for Shellharbour Hospital, a new transport vehicle for blood cancer patients, $250,000 towards Wollongong Public Hospital’s Children’s Ward, and many individual donations to families who are suffering financially due to potentially life threatening illnesses.
A house will be built and once completed, the house and land will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the ICF. Find out more by visiting the dedicated mini site here:
